I have to say the support and the emails and messages I have received is pretty overwhelming. Although 99% of them are great support there is always a couple that wish to let me know how they feel. I have blacked out some of the inappropriate language so I have attached for your viewing pleasure. Oh by the way I replied asking JIM for a cup of coffee to talk it over and the email came back. Gutless Jim already canceled his email. Pretty Big coward to send this garbage and then hide. If Jim has a pair he should email me again.

Chris, to say that Cherry didnt play, he played in the tough era, ya he coached,
remember Bobby Orr, read his book, Esposito every player loved him, you were a goon,
and not a very good one, I am a habs fan, Boucher, Robinson, Gainey, go back to
Cherrys era, Boom Boom, Richard, would kick your fu***** a**, and they were skilled
hockey players, your just a moron, who had a drinking problem, you only made it to
the NHL, for your willing to scrap, which is great, but Cherry srapped with the best
in his era,  6 teams, but in reality, if there were still to this day in a 6 team
league,  and when you played, you wouldnt be tough enough in your era, because there
were alot tougher guys than you, you got in because it was an expanded league, and
hopefully you made some money, but there are alot tougher guys out there, they might
not be able to skate, but in a street fight, they would punch you out silly, your
even advertising knuckles nilan at Mcleans Pub, your such a douchebag, you are a
fucking right idiot, superstar.

The Last line was removed due to the extreme vulgarity.  Thank you to my real fans and those who have oppinions about me I am all for it, just don’t be a coward.

Don’t listen to the haters Chris. Don Cherry is just an ingnorant old fool, and has no idea what he is talking about. His schtick is getting REALLY old. I have been a “knuckles” fan since the 80s, and anyone who knows anything about hockey will support you! And we are all proud of how you tackled your demons, and made the CH proud!

    Go Habs Go!

  2. Kevin Norcross says:

My good buddy Chris never claimed to be the toughest or best fighter of all time. However without a doubt he was one of the best technical fighters ever to play in the NHL hands down. If you watch all his fights he always new how to tie-up his opponents almost immediately so they could not throw the fatal knock-out blow. Yes he lost a lot of fights but he also won a ton, and he was out sized physically by most of his opponents but always held his own. For all the people making comments that are not well thought out, you should study the game of hockey a little more. Chris was also a great skater and when he needed to score he could. He was not like some of his enforcer peers who could hardly skate, could only fight! For people to make comments about his drinking or substance abuse problem that is a low blow. I have been a ALcohol/drug counselor for 19 years and being an addict can happen to anyone. So you should study a little more about the disease before you open your pie-hole.
And Chris is one of the most giving and genuine caring hockey stars of all time. He has giving more of his time to put smiles on sick kids faces then most hockey stars have ever done, i know this first hand.
And finally he showed how good he can still skate at last years old timers Canadians game against the NHL all star hall of famer’s. HE was the third star and skated better then most of the payers there!
    PEACE
    KEVIN

Don Cherry was on a down slope before the lockout and post lockout he has just become oblivious to our game and the way it is played today. For a clown like “Jim Bailey” to make those comments is almost humourous, consider the source Chris. Just take a glance at that ring finger of yours. Anyone who has ever played the game knows nothing else matter. You were a beauty when you played and if this isn’t cbc’s hint to can Don I think were gunna have to deal with him till his passing.

Chris, to say that Cherry didn’t play, he played in the tough era. Ya he coached, remember Bobby Orr? Read his book; Esposito (I’m assuming there was suppose to be an) and every player loved him. You were a goon, and not a very good one. I am a habs fan; Boucher, Robinson, Gainey, go back to Cherry’s era, Boom Boom, Richard, would kick your fu***** a**, and they were skilled
hockey players. You’re just a moron, who had a drinking problem (edited for better comprehension) who only made it to the NHL (no punctuation here) for your willingness to scrap, which is great, but Cherry scrapped with the best in his era.(one space, not two) 6 teams, but in reality, if there were still to this day in a 6 team league, (again, one space) and when you played, you wouldn’t be tough enough in your era, because there were a lot (I would have went with ‘much’) tougher guys than you (ending a run-on sentence). You got in because it was an expanded league, and hopefully you made some money, but there are a lot tougher guys out there (You already made this point). They might not be able to skate (Too many commas) but in a street fight, they would punch you out silly. You’re even advertising knuckles nilan at Mcleans Pub, you’re such a douchebag, you are a fucking right idiot (Wait, Chris is right all of a sudden? Holy contradiction Batman!, superstar.

If you’re going to try and insult someone, at least show you have half a brain. The entire email was one run-on sentence, insinuating you are either a) incapable of coherent thought, or b) a lunatic who froths at the mouth.

And to Chris: Grapes is an old fossil who no longer has a place this day and age. I’m quite certain more people will actually listen to what you have to say than anything Cherry sputters.
