The Trip Of A Lifetime
I’m very honoured to be going back to Afghanistan this year for my 4th time to visit the Canadian troops. I can tell you that I look forward to this trip all year long. It means so much to me to be able to go see & experience some of the things that not many people get to see. I have so much respect for all of the troops who fight everyday to allow me to live a life of freedom. It’s truly an honor…
Check back on my website for pictures of the trip-I’ll be sure to post them! Thanks for checking out my blog, more to come.

30 Minutes Out Of His Day…
I was really moved the other day when a fan contacted Chris through his Facebook, and told him that he was flying to Montreal from Dublin, and he was going to be here 3 days. The gentleman asked Chris if there was any way he could meet him for a coffee, he’d love to meet “Knuckles” one of his all time favorite hockey players. Chris said he’d try, but he couldn’t make any promises as his schedule was pretty full the next couple of days.
Long story short, Chris decided to meet this guy downtown and grab a coffee. They visited for about a half an hour, and this man was so grateful and so ecstatic to have had the opportunity to meet Chris. It was 30 minutes out of Chris’s day and although he enjoyed his time with his new friend, it won’t be something that will stand out in his memory a few years from now, or even a few months from now. But the lasting impression it left on the Irishman is something that he will remember for the rest of his life…And all it took was 30 minutes. In this case, it may have only been 30 Minutes for Chris, but those 30 minutes will last a lifetime for another.
18th Annual Art Auction Benefitting The Shield of Athena
November 11, 2012-”Men Can Make A Difference” When Chris was asked to be the patron of this year’s 18th annual art auction benefitting The Shield of Athena (help for battered women & children), he didn’t even have to think about it. He gladly accepted and started working on getting donations for the event, as well as promoting it on the radio whenever he had the chance. The evening was a huge success, with Chris getting up to say a few words, and mostly mingling with the attendees. He is looking forward to continuing his support for this wonderful organization.
